Artist B. Wurtz Performs Pop Songs in conjunction with Steel Stillman's exhibition Analogy

Soloway is pleased to present artist B. Wurtz performing the "pop songs" he has been writing for the past several years. Wurtz will be singing a selection of these, accompanying himself on guitar. Wurtz self-produced an album of his instrumental songs in 2016 called American Songs and, in 2017, White Columns released a vinyl single B. Wurtz American Song #16'/ 'American Song #17. Wurtz is presently working with a music producer in Los Angeles on a new album.

B. Wurtz is based in New York. His recent solo exhibitions include ones at Metro Pictures, New York, Richard Telles, Los Angeles, and Kate MacGarry, London. In 2018, B. Wurtz: This Has No Name, the artist's first survey show in an American museum, was at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and his first large-scale public sculpture was presented by the Public Art Fund in City Hall Park. Wurtz's next solo show opens at Maisterravalbuena, Madrid, in late March 2020.
