Station to Station: The Black Path
Sunday’s performance of the Black Path will feature a conversation with Shawn Hansen about his musical score, a sound tour and performance followed by the invocation of the Black Path with Laurel Sparks. Both artists will be present. Talk with Shawn starts at 4:30.
Station to Station: The Yellow Path
As the next installment of Shawn Hansen and Laurel Spark’s durational performance, Hansen’s video and sound composition for the Yellow Path will play on a continuous loop. At 5pm Sparks will perform in person the corresponding string figure and sestina.

Soloway is pleased to present a performance collaboration spanning six weekends. The installation will include a painted floor cloth, a tv set playing an evolving video and sound loop, and a cumulative string figure constructed on the gallery ceiling. Laurel Sparks will perform a new string figure each Sunday adding to the previous figure. February 27th, March 13th, and April 3rd, Shawn Hansen will perform live, mixing his sound compositions made from analog synths and saxophones. Hansen’s sound and video compositions and Spark’s performances are derived from a mathematical poetry system in which they collaborated over a period of three years.

Soloway gallery is pleased to present an afternoon of comedy to mark the final week of Annette Wehrhahn’s show Human Remains. Organized by the comedian / high school teacher & Soccer coach: Andy Fileta, Laughter Remains is a lineup of 6 comics including Justin Randall (Yaaas! Queer Comedy Festival Finalist), Ken Oonyu (New York based comedian born in Uganda) Allie Lawrence (Co-Host of Silly Goof Comedy), John Ajodah (stand-up comic and digital artist) and Naomi Eden (a Floridian with a penchant for Joan Rivers).
